Agricultural Enterprise

Implementation of world experience in resource saving plant growing and livestock breeding resulted in establishment of Agricultural Enterprise. This experience is the basis for Corporation «Agro-Soyuz» and its partners for development of new agriculture and integrated model of effective agribusiness.

Model Agricultural Enterprise of Corporation Agro-Soyuz adapts and implements innovative energy and resource saving technologies of ecologically clean plant growing, seed farming, dairy farming, pig breeding and ostrich farming.

Model agricultural enterprise of Corporation Agro-Soyuz is acknowledged as basic enterprise of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine for implementation of innovative technologies in plant growing, dairy farming, pig breeding and ostrich farming.

Business activities

Plant growing

We implement No-Till technology of plant growing – this technology excludes mechanical tillage and considers planting into evenly distributed stubble remains. Stubble enhances retention of snow and moisture accumulation while cut straw ensures additional bio-nutrition for soil organisms and prevents moisture evaporation. Crop rotations play the essential role in No-Till because they reduce weeds, plant disease incidents and insect pests while increasing soil fertility and potential profitability of land. This technology obtained its global value thanks to ecological and economical advantages protecting soil from wind erosion and scouring while decreasing production expenses.

Pig breeding

Specialists of Corporation «Agro-Soyuz» have implemented technology of cold group stalling of pigs on permanent deep litter in arched tent hangars. Cold stalling decreases construction costs in comparison with capital constructions for traditional breeding technologies and saves heating and lighting costs. Cold stalling provides fast growing and decreases fodder costs.

Technology of continuous pig rising requires minimal investments. This technology enhances production intensiveness resulting in increasing of labor productivity. Continuous pig farming creates the most favorable conditions for effective usage of facilities, machines, mechanisms, animals (sows and boars), labor and physical resources. Farm implements technology of continuous pork production with period of 7 days. This ensures batch production of pork under certain volume and quality through the equal periods of time.

Dairy farming

Working principle of dairy farming at Corporation «Agro-Soyuz» includes search and study of effective, low cost, energy saving, environmentally safe technologies with following approval, analysis, implementation and distribution.

Based on this principle we selected elements of technologies implemented by world-leading producers and combined them in effective system. This allowed to reach significant production results and to face the future with confidence issuing the long-term task.

Ostrich farming

At the very beginning ostrich farm of Agro-Soyuz was a hobby. In 2000 we purchased 12 ostriches from Holland (4 families). Commercial ostrich farming was initiated in 2003 after purchasing of breeders from South Africa.

Presently ostrich farm of Corporation «Agro-Soyuz» is the largest in Ukraine and has the status of breeding farm for Black African Ostriches.
