History of Corporation «Agro-Soyuz» has been started from solving of problem with deficit of spare parts arisen in the country after disestablishment of existed economic ties at the beginning of 90-s. Corporation «Agro-Soyuz» has arranged business with machinery and parts suppliers from Russia and Ukraine and has established its own retail distribution network. As time went by it became obvious that besides of parts sales there is another task – to deliver parts to customers in proper time otherwise machinery downtime losses could exceed parts cost. Therefore we organized own transportation company with the largest subsidiary network in Ukraine.
Presently Corporation «Agro-Soyuz» offers parts, components and consumables, domestic and foreign automotive and agricultural machinery. Amongst our partners are more than 800 suppliers from 57 countries of the world! At the market of Ukraine «Agro-Soyuz» is the exclusive distributor of Neste Oiland one of five official dealers of KAMAZ in CIS countries. Corporation «Agro-Soyuz» exports parts manufactured by KAMAZ, GAZ, MAZ, UMZ, MTZ to Moldova, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Germany, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Egypt, Cuba and Venezuela. Own customs terminal ensures in-time delivery.
Corporation «Agro-Soyuz» offers high quality service for trucks (KAMAZ, DAF, and SCHMITZ) and agricultural machinery (CLAAS, CASE, JOHN DEER, MASSEY FURGUSSON and others). Service department performs defect detection, diagnostics, running repairs, general overhauls and emergency repairs of machinery in field —mobile service team performs field repair on customer’s request.
In parallel, since 1996 Corporation «Agro-Soyuz» has assimilated and has developed new direction — agriculture. From the establishment of Corporation farmers were the main consumers of parts and machinery. This resulted in reasonable question – Which kind of machinery is preferable for them? Is it more profitable to buy expensive but modern and high-quality equipment compared to repair of old machinery each season with enormous quantity of parts? But there was not any expert evaluation of this question therefore «Agro-Soyuz» should do it by itself. We spent three years for research of different forms and models of agricultural enterprises — not only in Ukraine, but also abroad – in Europe, North and South America. Subsequent establishment of own agrarian enterprise on the basis of former collective farm resulted in understanding of need to assimilate resource saving and soil conservative technology for development of effective farming.
After careful study of world experience in resource economy we choose zero tillage and seeding into stubble technology corresponding to all requirements of modern agriculture such as cost effectiveness, resource care, soil fertility conservation and long-term profitability.
Many foreign companies manufacture seeding equipment for this technology but proposed models either didn’t correspond to Ukrainian conditions or were difficult in supply and maintenance. Therefore Corporation has established the innovative agricultural machinery manufacture in partnership with German company Horsch.
Developed manufacture of Corporation «Agro-Soyuz» has constructed and has put into series production wide-cut seeding machines «Horsch —Agro-Soyuz» (9, 11 and 18 m wide). Shortly after 18 m wide seeding machine held 4 world records in high-speed seeding and seeding quality. Results obtained on fields of own model agricultural enterprise in resource saving (oil and fuel consumption reduction by 70%, tillage time reduction by 80%) followed with yield increase (from 30 to 50 centners per hectare) and soil fertility recovery. Therefore specialists of «Agro-Soyuz» could recommend No-Tilltechnology and wide-cut «Horsch –Agro-Soyuz» machinery to famers from all CIS countries.
Advantages of wide-cut equipment were appreciated by partners of Corporation «Agro-Soyuz» from the leading grain producing countries of the world – Russia and Kazakhstan. Three years after start-up of manufacture in Dnepropetrovsk seven from each ten wide-cut seeders were exported to Russian Federation. Increased demand for machinery amongst Russian farmers forced us to establish assembling of «Horsch —Agro-Soyuz» machinery in Russia.
In September 2005 in Ramenskoye of the Moscow Area we presented the first wide-cut seeding machine «Horsch —Agro-Soyuz» assembled in Russia. In this country «Horsch —Agro-Soyuz» machinery was certified by Kursk CC MIS.
Shortly after that farmers of Kazakhstan have become interested in our machinery. Within 6 months of 2005 they ordered as many units as they did within previous three years. Manufacture in Kazakhstan was established in order to decrease expenses for renewal of agricultural machinery fleet for Kazakhstan farmers and increase competitiveness of Ukrainian agricultural manufacturing.
In July 2006 in Akkol of Akmolinsk region we opened the manufacturing facility for high-productive seeding machines «Horsch —Agro-Soyuz» production. The machines are designed for resource saving tillage based on No-Till system and were certified by CNIIMESH of Kazakhstan.
But purchase of high-productive machinery on itself is not able to ensure profitability of agribusiness. It is also necessary to solve many problems of logistics, economy and farm management – Corporation came to this based on its own experience. You may buy high-productive machinery, transit to full No-Tilland still suffer from enormous damages due to machinery downtime, not optimized logistics, faulty crop rotation, disorganized communication between different departments and, finally, lack of streamlined market activities.
In 1998 Corporation has understood the necessity of assimilation and development of agricultural directions concomitant to plant growing. Livestock farming, such as pig breeding, ostrich breeding and dairy farming have become the basic consumers of fodder crops participating crop rotation. This helped to transfer crops into more profitable and tastier food. Livestock farming closes the cycle of integrated agriculture providing organic manure for plant growing.
Grain storage and handling facility allowed decreasing of crop quality losses that often zero high yields.
At the beginning our own aviation company was capable to ensure effective chemical protection of sprouts.
Optimization of technical equipment, logistics and process management put in the forefront human factor and learning-ability. Neither advanced technology nor perfect machinery can be effective if consciousness of involved stuff has not been changed. Human and society as a whole are the basis of any economics and any profitable business.
